Valentines

hajesskidding:

is a day that’s forced. People feel OBLIGATED to give their significant other gifts. What’s special is not expressing the love you have for that person by buying them something big one day out the year, but expressing the love (that’s already big) that you have for that person every day of the year. What’s special is nourishing that love, day by day and watching it grow stronger and stronger.

Here’s a good idea that Lalo/Ida came up with and what I’m going to blog about: Plant a flower. Prepare a garden bed, add fertilizer and water, and watch it grow throughout the year, and when the time is right pick the flower from the plant that you grew and give it to the significant other. Now that’s SUPER special. To grow that flower it takes patience and lots of care—just like how your relationship should be like.
